Soe San´s brief background history
( 1 ) Aiming to enable those students who want to be outstanding attian their education goods the name “ Soe San ” was selected by the founder of the training center.
Soe San´s genesis
( 2 ) Soe San ´s founder, Bo Hmu ( retaired ) Mg Lat, together with four other teachers, coached Bo Hmu´s youngest daughter, Tin Mi lat and her friend which include, one specialist´s daughter Ma Sandar Hlaing, Ma Thant Zin, daugher of principal of Technical School, Ma Than Than Aye ( daughter of a business man ) at home duaring school period and outside school period, under U Mg Lat´s supervision. Among those four students one stood first with 5 distinctions in the whole township of Pyin Oo Lwin in the year ( 1982 - 83 ) another stood second with 4 distinctions. Both students pursued Medical coruse and are doctors today. In that year, three out of the first four students passed and so the 75% resulted was achieved.
( 3 ) The news of this good result spread toall parts of Pyin Oo Lwin and at the instance of the parents the first batch of ( 27 ) students, including ( 9 ) students ( boys ) and ( 18 ) students ( girls )were admitted as the first group of students for the year ( 1983 - 84 ) of the Soe San boarder the first post - mission school boarder which trained the students systematically and strictly.
( 4 ) The Soe San took responsilility for the board and residence of students for all standards of education when it was first opened for the years ( 1983 - 84 ). From 1983 to 1988, continuing under the same system, the difficulty of persuasion, difficulty of recruiting the best subject teachers, shortage of class rooms for teaching boys and girls separately, training separately various students according to their unequal foundations are the diffculties faced by the Soe San.
Soe San´s tramsformation
( 5 ) From 1988 anwards the boarder was limited to 8th, 9th,10th standards and the whole system was upgarded and re-opened to enable boys and girls to be trained separately by overcoming the afore said difficulties. In the realm of education, students were given DSA sort of tarining and the whole boarding was upgraded into a full - fledged training centre.
( 6 ) Although the students who joined Soe San were mostly law-calibre children from undeveloped areas, the ( 18 ) candidates that were admitted to the matric class since the new system of education starded in the academic year 1987 - 88 achieved the best result as the whole group passed the exam, one student was qualified for Medical collage, one was qualified for technical institute and one was qualified for the Defesence Service Academy.
Good result and Good name
( 7 ) Continuing the trend of good results, Soe Hein Soe, the only 6-D winner for the whole township was produced for the academic year 1995 -96. For the academic year 1998 - 99 5 candidates scored 6-D´s and for the year 1999 - 00, 9candidates achieved 6-D´s. For the first time in 20 years, the 6-D winner Min Thuya Hlaing who was included in the top five in the whole country was produced.
( 8 ) Although there is no separate advertisement for “ Soe San ”, its old students spread the good name, of “ Soe San ” to their aequaintances and thus. “ Soe San ” boarder became very famous throughout the country. Every year medical collage, computer collage and technical institute accepted (20) students from Soe San. Military medical, military engineering institute and denfse service institute, admitted no less than (10) students from Soe San and so it became famous throughout the whole country. Although there are many goof boarders, Soe San not only give the best education to the students but also train them to be independent - minded, to stand on their own feet, in associating with others to restrain themselves, not to go astary, to train onself to confrom to discipline, to respect those who deserve repect and to upold one´s honour and prestige. Thus “ Soe San ” is the only place where students can get the best training and best education.And the number of students seeking to attend at Soe San has increased to 900 students for the present time.
Soe San´s motto is — the bitter discipline gives a sweet future.
